Questions? Let’s Press Play…
Need help with an order, delivery, sizing or return? You’ve landed in the right place.
We may not be able to settle the great VHS versus Betamax debate, but we can answer almost everything else!
Orders & Payment
How do I know you’ve received my order?
Once your order has been placed successfully, you should receive an order confirmation by email.
Nothing in your inbox? Check your junk or spam folder first — emails sometimes hide there like a forgotten mixtape.
Still missing? Contact us at hello@retrotees.co.uk and we’ll take a look.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Because our products are printed especially for you, production can begin shortly after an order is placed.
Contact us as quickly as possible if you need to change your delivery address, size, colour or order details. We’ll do our best to help, but changes or cancellations may not be possible once production has started.
What payment methods do you accept?
The payment methods currently available will be shown securely at checkout.
Your complete debit or credit card details are processed by the payment provider and are not normally seen or stored by Retro Tees.
My discount code isn’t working. What should I do?
Check that the code has been entered exactly as shown and that it hasn’t expired.
Some offers cannot be used together or may only apply to selected products. Still stuck on the bonus level? Drop us a message and we’ll check it for you.
Printing & Products
Do you keep your products in stock?
No dusty warehouse mountains here!
Most Retro Tees products are printed especially for you after your order is placed. This means we don’t need to hold large quantities of every design, size and colour.
Printing to order helps reduce the risk of unnecessary stock being overproduced or left unsold.
How are your products printed?
Most of our designs are applied using modern direct-to-garment printing, often called DTG printing.
The exact production method may vary depending on the product and printing partner. Each item is produced especially for your order.
Where will my order be printed?
We work with a network of trusted printing and fulfilment partners.
Whenever possible, we select a suitable printer closer to your delivery address. This can help reduce delivery distances, postage costs and delivery times.
The closest printer may not always be available, as fulfilment depends on the product, size, colour, stock levels and current production capacity.
Are your designs created using AI?
Our own Retro Tees artwork is created through traditional and digital design methods. We do not use generative AI to create our original designs.
Some products in our shop are officially licensed designs supplied through authorised partners. These products will be clearly described as officially licensed.
What are your T-shirts made from?
Materials can vary between products, so please check the individual product description before ordering.
Most of our classic unisex tees are made from soft, ring-spun cotton and have a comfortable crew neck and regular unisex fit.
Will the colours look exactly like my screen?
We work hard to show colours as accurately as possible. However, screens, phones and monitors can display colours differently.
Small differences between the on-screen image and the finished printed product are normal and are not usually considered a fault.
Sizing & Fit
How do I choose the right size?
Please check the size guide shown on the product page before ordering.
Our garments generally use unisex sizing, but the fit and measurements may vary between styles and printing partners.
For the best comparison, lay a favourite well-fitting garment flat, measure across the chest and from shoulder to hem, then compare those measurements with our size chart.
Are the size measurements exact?
Garments are manufactured and finished individually, so small measurement variations can happen.
Please treat the size chart as a helpful guide rather than a promise down to the final millimetre.
What if I order the wrong size?
Contact us at hello@retrotees.co.uk.
Standard, non-personalised products can usually be returned within our returns period, provided they are unworn, unwashed and in their original condition.
Because items are printed to order by different partners, a direct exchange may not always be available. We may ask you to return the original item for a refund and place a new order.
Please see our Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy for full details.
Looking After Your Retro Threads
How should I wash my T-shirt?
Give your retro threads a little TLC:
- Turn the garment inside out before washing
- Wash cold at approximately 30°C
- Use a gentle cycle with similar colours
- Do not bleach or dry-clean
- Tumble dry on low or air-dry where possible
- Iron on a low setting and never iron directly over the print
Treat it well and it should survive plenty of rewinds, replays and comeback tours.
Will the print fade?
Some natural ageing can happen after repeated wear and washing, just as it can with any printed garment.
Following the care instructions will help keep the print looking totally rad for longer.
Processing & Delivery
How long does it take to process my order?
We aim to have orders printed and dispatched within 1–2 working days.
Working days do not include weekends or UK bank holidays.
This is the estimated printing and processing time. Delivery time is added after your order has been dispatched.
During especially busy periods, including the run-up to Christmas, production may take a little longer.
How much does delivery cost?
Delivery charges are calculated automatically at checkout after you enter your delivery address.
The full delivery cost will be shown before you complete your order — no hidden plot twists!
Who will deliver my UK order?
Our printing partners normally send UK orders using either Royal Mail or Evri, depending on the delivery address and service available.
Customers cannot currently choose which courier is used.
Will I receive tracking information?
Yes. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a tracking number by email.
Please allow a little time for the tracking page to update after receiving your dispatch notification.
Do you deliver internationally?
Yes, we can send orders to many international destinations.
Available delivery services and charges will be shown at checkout after you enter your address.
For international customers, we try to select a suitable printing partner closer to the delivery location. This may help reduce delivery time, postage costs and the chance of customs charges, although local production cannot be guaranteed.
Will I have to pay customs charges?
Depending on where an international order is printed and delivered, customs duties, import taxes or handling fees may still apply.
These charges are set by the destination country and are the customer’s responsibility. Retro Tees cannot predict or control them.
Why have only some of my items arrived?
Plot twist — your order may be travelling in more than one parcel.
Products can sometimes be printed at different locations, particularly when an order contains several styles, colours or sizes. This means items from the same order may be dispatched and delivered separately.
Where available, you should receive tracking information for each parcel.
My tracking says delivered, but I can’t find it. What now?
First, check:
- Around your property and designated safe places
- With other people in your household
- With nearby neighbours
- Any photograph or delivery note included with the tracking

Returns, Problems & Refunds
Can I return something if I change my mind?
Standard, non-personalised items can normally be returned within 30 days of delivery.
Items must be unworn, unwashed and returned in their original condition with any tags attached.
Please contact us before returning anything. We use several fulfilment partners, so the address printed on the parcel may not be the correct returns address.
Full details can be found in our Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy.
Can personalised products be returned?
Products made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised cannot normally be returned simply because you have changed your mind.
This does not affect your rights if the product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly produced or not as described.
My item is faulty, damaged or incorrect. What should I do?
Oh no — that definitely wasn’t part of the plan!
Email hello@retrotees.co.uk with:
- Your order number
- A description of the problem
- Clear photographs of the item and fault
Please do not return the product until we have provided instructions. Depending on the problem, we may arrange a replacement, refund or return at no additional cost to you.
How long does a refund take?
We aim to process approved refunds within 7 working days of receiving and checking the return.
Refunds are sent to the original payment method. Your bank or payment provider may need additional time to show the money in your account.
